About Prograss Bio
Prograss Bio Ltd was founded in Ireland with a clear goal:
"to develop a range of natural, plant-based biostimulant products that help plants grow healthier, with greater disease resistance and without the need for harmful chemicals."
This was a direct response to the removal of traditional chemical treatments from the market, which turf managers and horticultural growers had long relied upon to fight pests and diseases. Rather than look for chemical replacements, we took a different approach entirely.
Our products work by triggering the plant's own natural defence mechanisms before an attack occurs, priming it to fight off disease outbreaks and deal with pest attack from a position of strength rather than recovery.
In 2017 we launched Promote, a biostimulant based on natural plant-derived extracts. This was followed in 2018 by Flav-X, a bioflavonoid-based product that further strengthens the plant's natural resilience. More recently we added Organo-T, a 100% organic granular fertiliser derived from tea seed meal.
Together these products have enabled sports turf and horticultural managers across Europe and North America to grow healthier plants, reduce fertiliser use and cut their chemical bills. We now export from our base in Portlaoise, Ireland to 8 countries worldwide, and continue to develop new products to bring to these markets.
